The Moto Razr and Razr Plus are victims of shrinkflation

Motorola's 2026 Razr and Razr Plus flip phones cost $100 more than their predecessors with minimal upgrades. The Razr Plus now costs $1,099 (up from $999), retaining a two-year-old Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 chipset with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The main improvement is a larger 4,500mAh silicon-carbon battery (up from 4,000mAh). Camera hardware remains largely unchanged, though the 50-megapixel 2x telephoto has been replaced with another 50-megapixel sensor.
